Free Flu Shots

Hello To All: Although the Berean Congress was cancelled for this month (January) due to inclement weather, and Peoples Heath Center cancelled as well, good news!  Nurses for Newborns Foundation received a pot of money from CDC (Center for Disease Control).  This money is to be used in "engaging communities in response to Pandemic Influenza."  I have received 30 gift cards for flu shots from Walgreens.  In addition, a $10.  gas card will also be provided from Phillips 66.  In order to receive the cards, you must complete a 1/2 page survey with five (5) questions: 1) last flu shot, 2) sex, 3) race, 4) age, and 5) zip code.  These cards will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis for those individuals with no medical insurance, or coverage for flu shots.  The shots should be received by January 31, no later than the first week in February as the foundation must answer to CDC. Please share with members of Berean churches that are truly interested in the shot, and not just the gas card.  The foundation was assured that this blessing will be handled appropriately through Berean; however, If all else fails with Berean Churches, I will ask Brother Jefferson to share with homeless men and women.
