This is a reminder that OUR State Convention is scheduled for next week, October 12-16, 2009.

President Leno Blue will give his annual address at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the host church - Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 East 58th Street - Kansas City, MO (816-363-4188.) We are asking all laymen and deacons to wear dark suits, white shirts and red ties. We would like to have two deacons from each church take part in the devotion service that evening.

Let's all come out and show Pres. Blue how much we love him and appreciate his leadership! Remember--we ARE our brother's keeper. Let's spread the word to all of the brothers in Kansas City, St. Louis and all other locations in the state! Lets not only "TALK THE TALK" but lets "WALK THE WALK!"

Also, lets support the President's Educational Banquet which will be held Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at the host hotel - Sheraton Sports Complex Hotel, 9103 East 39th Street, Kansas City, MO (816-737-0200 or 800-325-3535). Ticket price is $40.00 each. For more information on the banquet, please contact Dr. Sallie Titus at 314-531-6094. Remember, when you support this banquet you are supporting Western Baptist Bible College. This enables President Thad Jones to continue doing a great work our OUR school!

Last, but certainly not least, lets ALL come out for President Brown's Annual Address at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15 at the host church. Our Presidents supports every annual address given at the convention and he deserves the same courtesy. He has moved our convention forward in many areas and we should show our appreciation for his leadership.
