Mental Health/Professional Counseling: Note an introduction letter will be mailed to all pastors directly; Reverend Morris L. Williams, PLPC, for professional therapy and additional information, call 314 653-1322. Help includes: Grief Recovery, Parenting, Domestic Violence, Marital and more. We are looking forward to his assistance with our mental health quarterly workshop in March. As you may recall, it was held at Galilee last year. This year, let us know if you are open to host on a Saturday morning. Reverend Morris Williams was recommended by Rev. Linden Bowie and Moderator Caldwell.
Secondly, we are certified to teach a class with at least six or seven people signing up entitled,
Organizing and Maintaining Special Programs for Senior Adults" or The Church's Response to Human Needs and Community Action." These classes can be used as electives under the Certificate of Progress Program." The highest enrollment will determine which course will be taught during this Biblical session.
While I would like for you to be a part of a class under my teaching in social ministry, the Congress of Christian Education Biblical Institute begins its second semester as well on January 14, at 7:00 p.m. - Prayer begins at 6:00 p.m. Other COPP classes are being offered such as: Your Christian Swag, young adults; The New Testament; Baptist Doctrine, Writing Techniques I; Minister's Seminar and Men in the Local Church. You have choices! We hope to see you there and/or members of your church.
Finally Berean, a special thanks to newly elected Pastor, Reverend Roderick K. Burton of New Northside Baptist Church who has agreed to Host Justice Sunday, a Pen or Pencil: Writing a New History Group Mentoring Program Initiative for ages 8-17. It was introduced to you in early 2011. Justice Sunday is January 20th at 9:00 a.m. and focuses on the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King; the President's National Community Service Initiative and the President's inaugural celebration, Faith in America's Future", "National Mentoring Month; Education and the future of our children. I am looking forward to this event, an awesome sermon as it relates to these topics, justice, equality, freedom, dignity and specifically the "Word of God" bringing it all together -- an excellent lead into the many MLK celebrations this week. We have mentors/investors out of the Berean Churches, join us for a while if you can before attending your 10:00 or 11:00 a.m. services.
We thank you for allowing us to serve you. Do not hesitate to reach out if we may assist even more.
