Trivia Event-- Berean Ministers Wives & Widows Auxiliary Invite
Greetings,
On Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 4:30pm the Berean District Minister's Wives
and Auxiliary will host our Annual Religious Trivia event at the Galilee
Missionary Baptist Church to raise funds for the Missouri State Baptist
Convention Minister's Wives and Widows Auxiliary's “Lady of Distinction”
competition. You are invited to register a team from your church, join another
team, or come out to support the event. The event promises to be one of
Christian fellowship, humor and fun.
This year, Sis. Mattie Lacy is representing the BDMWWA in the State
competition. The competition between Districts within the Missouri State
Baptist Convention raises funds for scholarships for students within our
Convention.
For more information or details on registering a team at the Trivia event
contact Sis. Aurita Caldwell or Sis. Mattie Lacy.
If you are unable to make the event but would like to contribute to the Lady of
Distinction competition, please contact Sis. Mattie Lacy.

Last Call for 9th-12th Grade Student Applications: Crafting-A-Future Portfolio
FROM CRAFT ALLIANCE& CAT alum Robert Longyear: Last Call for 9th-12th
Grade Student Applications: Crafting-A-Future Portfolio
Our deadline of Monday, September 12th is fast approaching!
Craft Alliance is accepting applications for Crafting-A-Future (CAF).
CAF is a mentoring program that provides education in craft media to
high school students throughout the St. Louis metro area. The curriculum
concentrates on the development of concepts and techniques particular to
the field of contemporary craft.
Our students work closely with local artists in Craft Alliance's
jewelry/metalsmithing, fiber, clay, and graphics studios to develop a
body of work. In addition to their studio work, students are exposed to
the work of nationally/internationally known artists through exhibitions
and lectures.
Craft Alliance challenges the students throughout their study to develop
their technique and concepts, exhibit their work, and build a portfolio
in preparation for post secondary education.
Classes are held at Craft Alliance in the Kranzberg Arts Center in Grand
Center on Saturdays, October - June, 1-4pm. Students entering grades 9
through 12 are eligible to apply.
*Students are selected based on talent and commitment to the program and
are granted full financial aid.
*The deadline for receipt of applications is Monday, September 12th.
Classes begin at our Grand Center studios Saturday, October 1st.
